Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming town that is located on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. The West Island, to those not familiar with it, is a vast part that stretches from Lachine to the west. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often mentioned, but her brief visit to the West Island wasn't. Brugel grew on Courtice just outside Oshawa within Ontario. She had a dream to be a dancer however a rapid growth rate meant that she literally outgrew her dance partners. The Toronto Star article revealed she's six feet tall, with heels. Once I was bigger than the size of my male companion then I slowed down. A lot of former dancers go on to act. In the case of Brugel it was because of the advice of her drama teacher at high school that led her to the path she needed. A teacher suggested that she try out for a school play. She tried out and eventually got the lead for the role in Anne of Green Gables. This led to her being awarded an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000, she received her BA in Fine Arts at York University. In the past 20 years, Brugel's work has been seen on the large and small screen. She gained the most recognition when she landed her role as Rita on the award-winning TV show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel is the only Canadian actor in Season 1 and was only seen at times.

Aubrey Peeples, an American actor and singer from the United States. She won the most accolades for her performance as Layla Grant and Claudia Shepard, respectively as Claudia Shepard and Layla Grant in Nashville (2012).
